Program Description:

Employment is a social determinant of health and is an important component of wellness. Having meaning and purpose contributes to suicide prevention, overall recovery, and improved mental and physical health. In recognition of National Rehabilitation Counselor Appreciation Day, this live, web-based training will discuss the benefits of integrating Rehabilitation Counselors into an interdisciplinary/interprofessional healthcare treatment team. Rehabilitation Counselors have a unique role in exploring employment as part of Veterans’ overall recovery and wellness and assist Veterans in applying skills developed during treatment to everyday life in community settings.

Location: Adobe Connect via registering in TMS. Audio portion through Adobe Connect using your computer speakers.
