VA Health Protection Level - LOW

Due to the decreasing cases and hospitalization rates of COVID19 in the local community based on CDC metrics, VA Long Beach Healthcare System will be entering “LOW” status for our COVID posture, effective Monday, February 27th.

Masking Update:

  • Surgical masks are still required while inside the VHA facility in buildings that provide patient care (Bldgs 1, 2, 7, 8, 126, 128, 150, 164, 166, CLC)
  • Masking is now optional in buildings where there is no clinical care performed (Bldgs 5, 5C, 46, 48, 50, 136, 149, 160, 161, 165, 165D, 165E, 167T, Fisher House)

VA Long Beach Healthcare System will celebrate the Grand Opening of the Veteran Resource Center on March 7, 2023, from 11 am-1 pm in building 165 at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center.

Services offered in this one-stop-shop:

  • Patient Advocate Office

  • Social Work Services
  • Veteran Benefits Administration: Veteran Readiness and Employment (Chapter 31)
  • Veteran Service Organizations
  • Release of Information/Medical Records
  • Virtual Health Resource Center
  • Whole Health Services

VA Long Beach Healthcare System will be one of the few VAs with a Veteran Resource Center on-site. Aside from showing off our new space, this grand opening will create and sustain the necessary working relationships with Veteran-centered community partners and Veteran Service Officers that help to provide successful future care for our Veterans.

The Veterans Legal Institute is partnering with VA Long Beach for a Legal Clinic on Friday, March 3rd from 9AM - 10:30AM in Building 165, Rm C209B at VA Long Beach!

Call 714-884-4421 for guidance on the application process and to determine eligibility to attend the clinic. Please specify the type of legal assistance you are seeking.

Please note that all veterans must complete the online application found on the Veterans Legal Institute website prior to attending the clinic (at the beginning of the description of your matter, type ("VA LONG BEACH CLINIC APPOINTMENT REQUESTED.")

*Please bring a copy of your DD214 if you have it available.

The Power Breath Workshop is a mind-body program that emphasizes
techniques to build resiliency. It offers breath based tools that decrease
