The next webinar in VA’s Long COVID series will cover "SARS-CoV-2 Infection and Persistence Throughout the Human Body and Brain" on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 @ 1:00PM ET.
The presenter will be Dr. Daniel S. Chertow, MD, MPH, Tenure-Track Investigator in the Critical Care Medicine Department at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Md. Dr. Chertow is a captain in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) and a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine and Infectious Diseases Society of America.
The one-hour presentation includes a question-and-answer opportunity.

About the series
The Long COVID lecture series highlights research on post-acute and long-term outcomes of COVID-19. Tech Into Care: Sleep issues and PTSD
The next virtual lecture in VA’s Tech Into Care will discuss “Sleep Wearables and Digital Tools: State of the Science and Practical Uses in PTSD Care”, on March 8, 2023 @ 12:00-1:00PM ET. The lecture will cover the impact of sleep disturbances in Veterans, particularly those with PTSD. The presenter will be Katherine Miller, Ph.D., a clinical research psychologist with the Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC), Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC, Philadelphia. The lecture will review current literature on devices and digital tools for sleep assessment and intervention. She will also discuss limitations of and recommendations for how you can incorporate these tools into your practice.

About the series
The Tech into Care CE Lecture Series features a different speaker and technology-related topic each month. Lectures are on the second Wednesday of the month, Noon – 1 p.m. ET. The live webinars are open to all VA and non-VA health care staff, researchers, and anyone interested in the use of technology (e.g., mobile apps, online interventions, and telehealth) to support treatment for Veterans with PTSD and related concerns (e.g., anger, substance use, and insomnia). Those who pre-register and participate in the live lectures can earn one hour of free continuing education credit. CE/CMEs available: ACCME, ACCME-NP, ANCC, APA, ASWB, NBCC, NYSED.
