It's time to Remember, Celebrate, and Act!

Please join VA Augusta Health Care System as we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on January 13, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., at our Uptown campus located at 1 Freedom Way, third floor auditorium, room 3B-111.

VA Augusta cordially invites you to join us as we welcome our special guest speaker, Dr. Don “DC” Clark, former Deputy Director at Forces United. He is a native of Houston, Texas, a U.S. Army retiree, former radio host, and community activist.

Clark completed 21 years of honorable service to our country. In defense of this nation, he served in multiple combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. He received numerous citations such as the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Iraq Campaign Medal, and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal.

Clark embodies the true meaning of servant leadership, receiving numerous state and national awards for his community service. In 2020, he received the Jefferson Award for outstanding Community Service throughout the greater Augusta region. He continues to be an inspirational example to many and remains steadfast in bringing about positive change throughout the CSRA community.

Local FFA students collect hygiene items for Veterans at VA Augusta

Throughout the month of December, 90 students from Cross Creek High School collected personal hygiene items including toothpaste, lotion and deodorant to donate to VA Augusta Veterans. Read more here.
