Program Description:

Employment is an important social determinant of health. Employment is protective for suicide, homelessness, and substance use while improving overall health and well-being. In VHA, vocational rehabilitation is a critical component of healthcare, and VHA Vocational Rehabilitation Service (VHA VR) provides a range of recovery -oriented vocational services, integrated within treatment, to promote Veteran recovery through employment. This live, virtual, knowledge-based webinar presentation targeting interprofessional healthcare teams will provide an overview of the important benefits of meaningful work, of services available through VHA VR, strategies for collaborating with VHA VR, and research findings on the services and outcomes attained.
