Dear Veteran,
We are excited to share that all VISN 8 facilities have implemented a VEText Enhancement which allows Veterans to request their appointment lists from VEText.
Previously, if a Veteran wanted a list of their appointments they would either login to MyHealtheVet, call to speak to a scheduler, call the automated phone system, or request the list from a scheduler in-person. Veterans will now have ease of access to their appointment list.
By texting “APPT”, "APPTS", or “Appointments” to any previously sent VEText message, Veterans will receive a list of appointments in a text response to their mobile device.
Appointment lists now have the ability to show those scheduled within the next 30, 60, or 90 days. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This additional benefit can help Veteran’s plan for their future visits and reduces the risk of them missing their appointment.
See various VEText examples below:
Veterans who do not have a mobile device, or choose not to use this feature, may call their respective facility (see VISN 8 facilities links below), request an appointment via MyhealtheVet, call the automated phone system when contacting your facility, or request a list, in person, from a scheduler. The Self Service Options also includes additional resources to help meet your health care needs.
Veterans can also stay informed on the latest updates from any of the VISN 8 facilities by liking/following their social media pages. See links below.
