The following protection measures remain in place for visitors to all Columbus VA facilities:

• Masks are required at all times
• Health screenings at all entrances
• Visitors limited to patients and one essential caregiver
• Physical distancing - 6 feet apart at all times
• Elevator capacity limited to 2 people at a time only

This includes all Columbus VA facilities - Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center, CBOCs in Grove City, Marion, Newark and Zanesville, and administrative and behavioral health facilities near the John Glenn International Airport in Columbus.

Columbus VA 2022 Welcome Home Event

Welcome Home 2022 offers free admission to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium all day, Jul. 2, 2022, for Veterans, active duty, reserve and National Guard personnel and their families. Join the Columbus VA for a fun-filled day at the zoo and learn more about benefits earned through service. DD 214, military ID card, or VA patient ID card required for admission. Army Birthday 2022

This year the Army celebrates its 247th birthday. This annual celebration marks the date in 1775 when the Continental Army was formed by the Second Continental Congress and commanded by Gen. George Washington to fight the Revolutionary War. On this date we thank all Army Veterans, past and present for their service and sacrifice.
