Bystander Intervention Training
Countless interactions occur among VA staff, Veterans, Service Members, caregivers, family members, and visitors every day. We can all help ensure positive and respectful interactions that are free from harassment when we know the right thing to do when we observe possible harassment in the VA facilities we visit. Bystander Intervention Training for Veterans will help you know what you can do if you witness sexual harassment or assault. Veterans, visitors, and staff are invited to spend 30 minutes in this online training to learn how to recognize a hostile situation, how to respond to it, and how to get help.
Videoconferencing (i.e., talking to others using video) is new to many people and, even if it is not new, many of us are still learning what is appropriate and effective behavior during a videoconference. This is a guide that can be helpful to Veterans and staff when attending video conferences such as family calls, doctor’s appointments, and telehealth groups. The Videoconference Etiquette Guide includes tips on setting up your videoconference, being mindful of your environment, communicating effectively, and general good practices for videoconferencing.
