Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Woman looking ahead

Military sexual trauma (MST) refers to sexual assault or harassment during military service. VA is strongly committed to ensuring that MST survivors have access to the help they need to heal and recover.

Healing from military sexual trauma takes time and VA has resources to help.

For more information about services offered at Columbus VA to support MST survivors, contact our military sexual trauma coordinator Anne Mann at 614-257-5331. You are not alone.

Prepare for Transition to VAs New EHR

VA Central Ohio Healthcare System will change to a new electronic health record (EHR) system Apr. 30. After this date, veterans will use a new patient portal, My VA Health, to make appointments, refill and renew prescriptions, and manage other aspects of their healthcare at VA Central Ohio Healthcare System facilities including the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center in Columbus, and its VA clinics in Grove City, Marion, Newark and Zanesville.

Here are steps you can take now to make the transition as seamless as possible:

  • Have an updated web browser that supports My VA Health - Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari. Other browsers are not compatible with the new patient portal.
  • Refill and renewal VA prescriptions early. Submit VA prescription refill and/or renewal requests as soon as possible, but not later than April 23 to avoid delays. After April 23, prescription refills or renewals at VA Central Ohio Healthcare System cannot be made using My HealtheVet. They can only be made using My VA Health.
  • Refill requests can be made during an appointment, by mailing in a refill slip or by using the automated phone system. Call 614-257-5200 and press 1 for pharmacy-related calls and follow the prompts to refill a prescription or speak to a representative.

The My VA Health help desk can be reached at any time by calling 888-444-6982. Please use this number for any issues related to the patient portal transition.
