New Electronic Health Record: How you can prepare

Veteran checklist prior to launch of new electronic health record platform at the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System

The VA Central Ohio Healthcare System is moving to a new electronic health record (EHR) system on April 30. This new system will improve delivery of care and simplify the patient experience.

After April 30, Veterans will use My VA Health (https://patientportal.myhealth.va.gov/) as their main patient portal for making appointments, refilling prescriptions and managing care they receive at the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System, which includes the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Clinic in Columbus and VA Clinics in Grove City, Marion, Newark and Zanesville.

Resources to help navigate this change can be found here.

Helpful Tip to Prepare: Refill and renew VA prescriptions early. Do this as soon as possible, but not later than April 23, 2022, to avoid possible delays in processing.

After April 23, 2022, Veterans will not be able to request prescription refills or renewals from VA Central Ohio Healthcare System using My HealtheVet.

Refills still may be requested during an appointment, by mailing in a refill slip, or by calling 614-257-5200, pressing 1 for pharmacy-related calls and following the prompts to refill a prescription or speak to a representative.
