Persons eligible for COVID-19 vaccine boosters are all Veterans, enrolled in VA health care or not, their spouses and caregivers who:
Persons who meet the above criteria can stop by walk-in clinics on our University Drive and H.J. Heinz III campuses from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, except federal holidays, for a booster shot. Our community-based outpatient clinics provide boosters only to persons with moderate to severe immune compromise and only by appointment. When you visit for your booster, please bring your CDC vaccination card. If you cannot find your card, we will give you a new one. COVID-19 Booster Updates We expect frequent changes to COVID-19 booster-shot eligibility in the coming days and weeks, based on recommendations by the Food and Drug Administration and CDC. Community Providers and Vaccines
If you go outside VA for your COVID-19 or flu vaccine, please tell your VA health care team by phone or via secure messaging. If you use secure messaging, please include a picture of your CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card.
To find out if you are eligible to enroll in VA health care:
- Call VA toll-free at 877-222-8387, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Apply at www.va.gov/health-care/how-to-apply
- Download the mailable VA Form 10-10EZ. Send the completed 10-10EZ with a copy of your DD214 to VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Attn: Patient Registration, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240.
