COVID-19 Vaccine Updates
Do I still need to get a COVID-19 test before my procedures?
- COVID-19 testing may be required:
- Before any procedure that is high risk for COVID-19. For example, procedures where an airborne virus could spread.
- For some dental procedures - the dentist will let you know.
- For both Veterans who have and have not gotten the COVID-19 vaccine.
I got vaccinated at VA Long Beach. My name is not listed on “California’s Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record.”
- To protect privacy, the VA does not release any health records.
- Would you like your information listed? Please ask your community health care provider to share it.
Can I win the “Vax for the Win” lottery if I got my COVID-19 vaccine at VA Long Beach?
- The VA included everyone who qualified for the lottery. Random numbers were assigned to each person to protect their privacy. If one of these random numbers wins the lottery, the State of California will send it back to the VA. The VA would then contact the winning individual.
