Central Virginia Veterans, their spouses and caregivers may receive COVID-19 vaccine as walk-in patients at Richmond campus

Veterans, their spouses and caregivers may now receive the COVID-19 vaccine as walk-in patients at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System (CVHCS) vaccine clinic in Richmond, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. However, CVHCS will not provide the vaccine for walk-in patients at its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics in Fredericksburg, Charlottesville or Emporia.

CVHCS is administering the vaccine for Veterans, their spouses and eligible caregivers.

Clinic location and changes to vaccine clinic hours follow. All other services at all locations will be offered during regular business hours.

 

Richmond: 1201 Broad Rock Blvd.

1st and 2nd doses for walk-in patients, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Fredericksburg: 130 Executive Center Pkwy.

Starting today, the CBOC vaccine clinic in Fredericksburg Mary Washington will be open only on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for new appointments. All previously scheduled appointments will be honored.

Charlottesville: 590 Peter Jefferson Pkwy. #250

Starting May 27, the CBOC vaccine clinic in Charlottesville will be open only on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, all previously scheduled appointments will be honored.

Emporia: 1746 E Atlantic St.

The CBOC vaccine clinic in Emporia is no longer offering first dose appointments, but all previously scheduled 2nd dose appointments will be honored.

 

All who are eligible may continue to sign-up online at https://www.va.gov/health-care/covid-19-vaccine/sign-up/introduction. All eligible persons should take the first opportunity to get vaccinated, whether through CVHCS or county/state vaccine programs.

Eligible Veterans: Anyone who served in the U.S. military is eligible.

Eligible Spouse: For COVID-19 vaccine eligibility, we define a spouse to include marriage, same-sex and common-law marriages. This includes a widow or widower of a Veteran. If you characterize your relationship as spousal, you can receive the vaccine. Chick here to register to receive a vaccine through the VA.

Eligible Caregivers: For COVID-19 vaccine eligibility, we define a caregiver as a family member or friend who provides care to the Veteran. Caregivers may help the Veteran with personal needs like feeding, bathing, or dressing. They may also help the Veteran with tasks like shopping or transportation.
