As we approach the summer months and restrictions are being lifted, now is the perfect time to get your vaccine through VA. Getting vaccinated is the quickest way to reach immunity in the community. If you are interested in getting vaccinated, the Wilmington VA Medical Center has vaccines available at the medical center and each of our five community based outpatient clinics (CBOC) in Delaware and southern New Jersey. We encourage you and your loved ones to get vaccinated in order to be protected from a deadly virus that has impacted so many Veterans and Veterans’ families in our region and across America. If you are hesitant or unsure about getting vaccinated, we would like to remind you that the COVID-19 vaccines approved for use by the FDA and CDC are safe and effective and have undergone rigorous testing with proven science. Any reported side effects are extremely rare, and the benefits of getting vaccinated outweigh potential risks.
