Refer a Spouse, Caregiver or fellow Veteran for Vaccination at the VA!
Madison Veterans, Spouses and Caregivers,
Thank you for taking the important step in fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic by choosing vaccination. We are excited to announce that we are now able to expand the delivery of COVID-19 Vaccines to Spouses and Caregivers of Veterans through the SAVE LIVES Act and would like to invite you to share this information with those that live with you or provide assistance to you. Expanding vaccination allows us to ensure those who live with you and care for you can be vaccinated and we have vaccine available to schedule these folks now.
Please help us “Call the Shots” with the COVID-19 Pandemic by referring a Spouse, Caregiver, or fellow Veteran today!
The following groups are now eligible for vaccination at the VA:
Veterans
- Anyone who served in the U.S. military is eligible to be vaccinated through VA.
Spouse
- For COVID-19 vaccine eligibility, we define a spouse to include marriage, same-sex and common-law marriages. This includes a widow or widower of a Veteran. If you characterize your relationship as spousal, you can receive the vaccine.
Caregivers
- For COVID-19 vaccine eligibility, we define a caregiver as a family member or friend who provides care to the Veteran. Caregivers may help the Veteran with personal needs like feeding, bathing, or dressing. They may also help the Veteran with tasks like shopping or transportation.
