We are reaching out with further updates on our vaccination efforts. As you may have heard in his address to the nation last night, President Biden is directing states, territories, and tribes to make ALL adults eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines by May 1. With the increased number of vaccines ordered in the United States, providers across the nation should be able to vaccinate 2 million people per day.
At SFVAHCS we have been fortunate to have both adequate vaccine supply and efficient operations to NOW be able to offer vaccines to ALL eligible VA-ENROLLED VETERAN patients at the San Francisco VA Medical Center’s Fort Miley campus
You will soon receive text messages through VA VEText in order to self-schedule your vaccination appointment. You may also choose to call 415-750-2223 to schedule an appointment at the San Francisco VA Medical Center.
As a reminder, we cannot offer patients a choice between vaccine options. Our priority is to quickly vaccinate as many patients as possible and the best vaccine option is one that patients can receive without delay.
If you are an individual, or know an individual, who meet the above criteria, and would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, please call 415-750-2223 to schedule an appointment at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. Prior to your appointment, please review and complete this Pre-Vaccination Checklist. NO DROP-IN VISITS WILL BE ACCEPTED. PLEASE MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
Please note that many of our local community-based outpatient clinic (CBOC) have limited appointment slots due to staffing. In these locations, Veterans aged 65 and over, as well as Veterans with specific high-risk health conditions are still being prioritized.
