COVID-19 Update - March 2, 2021
Changes to age group now 60 and older
Milwaukee VA continues to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to enrolled Veterans age 60 and older. Health care team staff will continue to contact Veterans to schedule appointments – we will contact you. Veterans using VEText will start seeing appointment requests via text message on their mobile devices beginning March 2.
Walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic March 6
Milwaukee VA will hold another walk-in vaccine clinic, Saturday, March 6, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for about 650 enrolled Veterans. To prevent lines and streamline the vaccine process, the VA Vaccination team members will distribute tickets with scheduled vaccine times at two Veteran Service Organization locations on March 3. Tickets will also be distributed at the hospital on March 6 until 2 p.m. or until the clinic capacity is met.

If you have already received a COVID-19 vaccination in the community, contact your health-care team ASAP.
Then please contact your healthcare team as soon as possible. Using secure messaging in MyHealtheVet, upload an image of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card to your healthcare team. Submitting the record allows Milwaukee VA to efficiently identify, contact and administer vaccines to other Veterans in priority groups. This is an urgent request so vaccine resources can be focused on your fellow Veterans ready to receive the vaccine.
As always, if you have already expressed your interest in receiving the vaccine, there is no need to share again, but if you previously expressed “no interest” or have yet to connect with your health care team about your decision, you can always call your health care team and let them know your decision on receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
You can securely message your health care team using MyHealtheVet at www.myhealth.va.gov or connect with your health care team by calling your clinic.
