The previous update was missing the age "65" from the first paragraph and is updated in the "COVID-19 Update." below. Milwaukee VA's COVID-19 vaccine priority grouping is based on CDC's and VA's current guidelines for those over 65 years old and other high-risk categories to receive the vaccine.
COVID-19 Update - Feb. 6 2021
Milwaukee VA continues to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to enrolled Veterans 65 and older. Health care team staff will continue to contact Veterans to schedule appointments – we will contact you.
The vaccination team has done a tremendous job in vaccinating more than 7,000 since January. Check out the story below to see how the vaccination process is going and what to expect in the coming weeks. As always, if you have already expressed your interest in receiving the vaccine, there is no need to share again, but if you previously expressed “no interest” or have yet to connect with your health care team about your decision, you can always call your health care team and let them know your decision on receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
You can securely message your health care team using MyHealtheVet at www.myhealth.va.gov or connect with your health care team by calling your clinic.
