Program Description:

This live, virtual, knowledge-based webinar will focus upon the importance of Holistic domain within the 14 Recovery Domains. Dr. Ames will present the bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach that is holistic and recovery-oriented. Dr. Ames will review her clinical and research work for the past three decades that points to the importance of this approach for mental health recovery, resilience, well-being, as well suicide prevention in Veterans and VA staff themselves. Measurement tools to help evaluate well-being, resilience, moral injury, burnout and how to counter burnout will be discussed. Learners will be introduced to therapeutic lifestyle interventions, and early research results on spiritually integrated interventions for recovery from moral injury in Veterans with PTSD, as well as therapeutic lifestyle skills that can be helpful for prevention of burnout and suicide even among professionals.
