COVID-19 vaccination: Scheduling will begin for Veterans age 65 and up

Dear Veteran,

As of today, the Central Virginia VA Health Care System has vaccinated more than 3,400 Veterans and Volunteers with the first dose and almost 350 with the second dose, primarily aged 75 and up. Today, we will begin scheduling Veterans age 65 and older. As you might imagine, the COVID-19 vaccination effort is our main priority as a health care system. As more vaccines become available, we hope to increase our capacity and expand clinics to all our sites of care. We ask that you please remain patient and know we are working to maximize our efficiency and each Veteran will receive a vaccination if they choose. If you are age 65 or older, we will be contacting you via telephone to schedule your vaccination appointment. Please keep an eye on our website and Facebook for the latest news, information and COVID-19 updates.
