Get Your Screening Gate Fast Pass!

Effective December 11, West Palm Beach VA Medical Center Gate Screeners will accept the use of VA’s COVID-19 Screening Tool to reduce wait times at the gates. The more employees and Veterans that use the tool the faster the line goes for everyone, especially for vehicles with multiple occupants. By answering the questions before entering our main campus gate and showing your symptom-free screenshot with the current date, everyone can save loads of time!

COVID-19 Screening Tool Steps 

Employees or Veterans who prefer the screening tool or have multiple vehicle occupants, may use the following steps:

• Text “SCREEN” to 53079 or visit https://www.va.gov/covid19screen/ to access the screening tool.*
• Answer all screening questions from a safe location prior to entering screening line [Do not text and drive].
• One of two confirmation messages with a date and time stamp will appear.
• Show the confirmation message to the screener upon arrival.
• Screeners will view the confirmation screen and take a temperature 
  • If temperature is above 100 and/or if the confirmation screen states, “More Screening Needed”, the primary screener will determine which question was a “yes” and will direct the individual to the secondary screening location if needed.
  • If temperature is below 100 and the confirmation screen states “Ok to Proceed”, the individual may enter through the screening site.

*Important: All screening confirmation messages will be invalid after 12 hours or if there is a change in health status.
