The Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Center for Minority Veterans (CMV) serves as the model for inter-and intra-agency co-operation in ensuring all Veterans receive equal service regardless of race, origin, religion or gender.  

The organization is designed to assist the VA in executing its mission in the most equitable, efficient and humane way possible, emphasizing dignity and an acceptable quality of life for all Veterans.

The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System's (GCVHCS) Minority Veterans Program Coordinator increases local awareness of minority Veteran related issues and develops strategies for increasing their participation in existing VA benefits programs for eligible Veterans.
