BILOXI, Miss. -- The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS) Emergency Management Service is advising Gulf Coast-area Veterans of potential weather which could impact the Gulf Coast.
Tropical Storm Sally, as of 9 a.m. Sept. 14, is expected to continue formation and become a hurricane Monday and potentially make landfall early Tuesday, Sept. 15. The exact track and intensity of the storm is subject to change.
Currently, beginning at noon Sept. 14, the Joint Ambulatory Care Clinic in Pensacola, Florida; the Eglin community based outpatient clinic in Eglin, Florida; and the Panama City Beach community-based outpatient clinic in Panama City Beach, Florida, are canceling all appointments for today and tomorrow, Sept. 15.
Additionally, procedural appointments (including colonoscopies) at these locations are being canceled through tomorrow, Sept. 15.
COVID screening locations are being relocated until further notice. At the Biloxi VA Medical Center, the Hiller Park gate will close at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 and will remain closed until the weather event passes.
Further decisions are currently being developed and will be shared once available.
