Masks are Required at VA

Dear Veterans,

As you are likely aware, cases of COVID-19 continue to increase across our area. For the safety of all, the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center is strictly enforcing the VA mandate that everyone wear a mask at our main facility and outlying clinics and buildings.

Please note that masks with valves are not permitted. The reason for this precaution is because these types of masks are often worn incorrectly by patients which may allow droplets to flow freely out of the valve.

Veterans wearing a mask with a valve will be asked to change out of that mask upon entry to our facilities. If you do not have a mask without a valve, one will be provided to you by VA staff.

Please keep your mask on at all times. Those who refuse to wear a mask will be provided with a virtual care option away from the medical center.

Wearing the right mask correctly, protects you and our team. Remember, masks should cover the bottom half of your face - over the nose and below the chin (see the attached poster - Mandatory Face Mask Sign and Instructions.jpg).

Also, we are continuing our no visitor/no companions policy and ask that everyone practice physical distancing as much as possible. Please visit our “Prepare for Your Visit COVID-19” page for more information.

Let's work together to stop COVID-19 in its tracks!

Be Safe...Stay Well!
