COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information

Since the beginning of March 2020, the Columbia VA Health Care System has been focused on maintaining the safety of our Veterans and staff while continuing to provide high quality care during our current COVID-19 environment.
Due to the ongoing increase of positive cases in South Carolina, we will continue to provide only emergent and urgent care to Veterans across the entire Columbia VA Health Care System. Our Emergency Department has always remained open 24/7, additionally we are open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week at our front entrance for COVID-19 screening and testing for all Veterans.
Universal masking will continue to be used to maximize the safety of our everyone that enters any of our facilities for a face to face appointment.  We will continue to provide the majority of our appointments virtually through the use of smart phones, computers and tablets; which has become a great method for our staff to work with our Veterans and their families at a distance. The following information on this website will provide additional details on what you can expect when receiving care within the Columbia VA Health Care System. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you need us at any time, we are only a phone call, secure message, or an e-mail away.

All facilities within the Columbia VA HCS are now limited to one entry point.

All Veterans who enter any of the Columbia VA Health Care System’s facilities will be pre-screened and we are suspending visitor entry until further notice.Visitors will be asked to wait in their car or at a table/bench for the Veteran to complete their appointment.
