Tick season is here!

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Pennsylvania has more Lyme Disease cases than any other state in the nation—more than 96,000 since 2004—and New Jersey and Delaware—with more than 71,000 cases—are not far behind.

We can now offer a tick bite clinic in the privacy of your home. If you have been bitten by a tick, call 1-833-Tele-Urgent (1-833-835-3874) or call the main number at your local VA medical center and choose option 3. You'll speak first to a VA nurse who will help you get set up for a virtual visit with a VA provider using your computer, tablet or smartphone. If you need preventive treatment, we'll call in a prescription to your local VA or to a commercial pharmacy near you.

We're available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

And the clinic is free. No hassle, no copay.

Tele Urgent Care is now available to Veterans receiving care in the VISN 4 network which includes VA medical centers in Altoona, Butler, Coatesville, Erie, Lebanon, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Wilkes-Barre, and Wilmington.
