APT Center Investigator Brooke Odle, PhD was featured in the 14th Edition of Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, a publication that celebrates the achievements of African Americans in the greater Cleveland metropolitan area. Also a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Odle emerged, along with several members of the Case community, as someone whose achievements are all significant examples of work that is making a positive difference in Cleveland. On campus, she has been very involved with the Postdoctoral Association- she serves on the Professional Development Committee and has been the postdoctoral representative on the Faculty Senate Committee on Minority Affairs. The ceremony for the book unveiling was Tuesday, June 18th from 7:30 - 8:30 pm at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cleveland.

Dr. Odle was also selected to participate in LATTICE (Launching Academics on the Tenure-Track: an Intentional Community in Engineering), a four-day symposium designed to accelerate and improve the career advancement of early career women in engineering. The 2019 LATTICE participants are all early-career underrepresented women in engineering who are interested in faculty careers. The symposium activities lay the foundation for deeper and ongoing support through LATTICE peer Mentoring Circles and was held May 30- June 2, 2019 at Islandwood Conference Center on Bainbridge Island, outside of Seattle, WA.
