Weekly HealthShare Referral Manager Trainings Begin

HSRM 2

The HealthShare Referral Manager (HSRM) Team is pleased to announce the launch of the Weekly HSRM Trainings. HSRM is VA’s secure, web-based platform for referral and authorization management.  As a community provider, you will find VA’s new system to be a great asset in the delivery of quality patient care. Trainings of this system will be offered  every Tuesday  from 1 PM - 2 PM EST. We encourage you to attend to learn about how HSRM:

  • Reduces turn-around time for claims adjudication
  • Facilitates Health Information Exchange (HIE) between you and VA
  • Reduces time you spend waiting for calls, faxes, or emails to obtain the information you need to provide care

All trainings will include an overview of HSRM and its features, a live walk-through of the  system, and time for questions and answers.

Please register in advance and join us for one of these weekly trainings by visiting Weekly  HSRM Trainings on VHA TRAIN. An account on VHA TRAIN is required in order to register  for a training.

To assist you, our provider partners, during this transition time, we’ve outlined important information and key dates to note:

To Submit Claims: Community providers have until March 26, 2019 to submit initial claims to HNFS for payment for covered services that were rendered through September 30, 2018.

To Check Claims Status: Community providers can continue to use www.availity.com to check status on claims submitted for HNFS-authorized services.

Appeals, Denials, and Adjustments: will continue in accordance with the mutually agreed upon appeals process through January 30, 2020.

For Additional Assistance:

  • Providers may call the HNFS provider customer line at 844-728-1914 for PC3/VCP claims and authorization inquiries related to HNFS-authorized services or visit HNFS’ website at www.hnfs.com/go/VA.
  • Providers should address all outstanding PC3/VCP claims and authorization inquiries related to HNFS-authorized services claims directly with HNFS first by calling the HNFS provider customer line at 844-728-1914 or visiting HNFS’ website at www.hnfs.com/go/VA.
  • If after working with HNFS you are unable to get resolution for outstanding claims, contact OCC, Provider Relations & Services, Network Management at ProviderExperience@va.gov; a staff member will be assigned to work with you and HNFS toward resolution.
