DAV to Host Facebook Live Event on VA Telehealth Services

On Thursday, May 10, join Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and VHA Office of Connected Care for a Facebook Live event on VA Telehealth Services.

During the event, VHA Connected Care Chief Officer Dr. Neil Evans and Mary Dever, a Veteran and Assistant National Communications Director of DAV, will discuss the wide variety of telehealth services that VA offers in the home, clinic and hospital including video appointments, remote monitoring through medical devices, and specialty care like TeleMental Health.

Veterans Health Administration and DAV present Telehealth Services for Veterans. Watch live on May 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. ET on the Disabled American Veterans' Facebook page.

Participating in the event is easy:

  • Click the Facebook event post to get a reminder about the event.
  • Visit DAV's Facebook page on May 10 at 11 a.m. ET.
  • Click on the video and turn up the sound. Make sure the mute is off.
  • If you would like to participate in the discussion, type your questions into the comments section under the video, and experts will respond during or following the event.

Telehealth technologies are bridging the divide between VA care and Veterans who live in rural locations, dense urban locations, and even locations recovering from hurricanes and other natural disasters. If you are a Veteran who receives VA health care, you can benefit from VA Telehealth Services, too.

This event is part of Connected Care's ongoing efforts to increase Veterans' access to care through VA's virtual care technologies. The event video will be archived and available on DAV's Facebook page for later viewing for those unable to attend the live event.
