Dear VA Maryland Health Care System E-News Subscriber:
The VA Maryland Health Care System and the Baltimore VA Regional Office are hosting an Information Fair, Navigation Seminar & Town Hall on Thursday, October 29, 2015, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd floor at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Free parking is available for the event in the medical center’s garage, which is located off of Fayette Street.
During the Information Fair, VA staff will be available to answer questions and to assist Veterans in completing applications for VA health care and VA compensation benefits. VA staff will also be available to provide information about the services offered to Veterans by the VA Maryland Health Care System and the Baltimore VA Regional Office.
During the Navigation Seminar & Town Hall, which will run from 4:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in the medical center Auditorium on the 2nd floor, Veterans will learn about specific programs and services offered by the VA Maryland Health Care System and the Baltimore VA Regional Office, and they will have an opportunity to ask questions and make comments.
Veterans interested in applying for VA health care during the Information Fair must bring a photo ID and financial information from the previous year. Veterans are also encouraged to bring a copy of their discharge papers (Form DD-214), but it is not required to apply for enrollment. Veterans may complete the VA health care enrollment application at the Information Fair or they can expedite the process by accessing the application for health benefits (VA Form 10-10EZ) at https://www.1010ez.med.va.gov/sec/vha/1010ez/ and bringing a printed copy of the form to the event.
Veterans who will be attending the Information Fair, Navigation Seminar & Town Hall for claim related issues are asked to contact the Baltimore VA Regional Office at (410) 637-6950 to RSVP and provide important information needed to enhance services provided while onsite. Benefits Counselors will be available throughout the fair to answer Veterans’ questions and address claims related concerns. Veterans will also be provided information on how to expedite filing claims for faster processing times.
