The Secretary's I CARE Honor Award is the most prestigious I CARE award. All VBA, VHA, NCA, and Board of Veterans’ Appeals employees are eligible for this recognition. Secretary McDonough will present the award during the 2022 VA Customer Experience Symposium on September 7, 2022. The deadline for completed nominations is August 15, 2022. |

After working on how Veterans interact with VA, the Veterans Experience Office will also focus on the employee experience or "EX." Learn more about how VA's Employee Experience Office is partnering with the Administrations and staff offices to respond to EX insights identified from the VA workforce

Several VA facilities recently participated in an intense course on military culture called Tour of Duty (ToD). This program aims at enriching employee's understanding of Veterans through their own experiences. |

The Patient Experience University (PXU) 101 Course enrollment for 2022 is now open. PXU 101 is a virtual 3-day workshop for participants from across VHA who are interested in learning the fundamentals of Patient Experience.

August PX Champions Community of Practice Call
The next Community of Practice call will be on Friday, August 26th. Learn and provide feedback about patient experience preferred practices, developments, research, and VA PX tools. The previous Community of Practice call was held on July 29th. In addition to the VEO Leadership Updates, Experience Data Set Training Recognitions, Field Innovations, VSignals, and CX Symposium updates were also shared.
VA is committed to providing the best customer experience and improving trust. As a reminder, Customer Experience was added to VA's Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). You can read the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Title 38, Chapter 1, Part 0, Section 0.603, Subpart A, which describes VA Core Values, Characteristics, and Customer Experience principles.

The "Faces of Service"
"Faces of Service" captures photos and stories of Veterans so future generations may better understand the realities of war. So far, 160 Veterans from World War II forward have shared their stories with VA employees at the Dallas VA Medical Center and the Ft. Worth VA Clinic.
