ACT NOW!! Secretary's Honor Award for I CARE

The Secretary's I CARE Honor Award is the most prestigious I CARE award. All VBA, VHA, NCA, and Board of Veterans’ Appeals employees are eligible for this recognition. Secretary McDonough will present the award during the 2022 VA Customer Experience Symposium on September 7, 2022. The deadline for completed nominations is August 15, 2022.

Improving Employee Experience

After working on how Veterans interact with VA, the Veterans Experience Office will also focus on the employee experience or "EX." Learn more about how VA's Employee Experience Office is partnering with the Administrations and staff offices to respond to EX insights identified from the VA workforce


New Tour of Duty Program Builds Deeper Connections

Several VA facilities recently participated in an intense course on military culture called Tour of Duty (ToD). This program aims at enriching employee's understanding of Veterans through their own experiences.

PXU 101 Open Enrollment Sessions for 2022

The Patient Experience University (PXU) 101 Course enrollment for 2022 is now open. PXU 101 is a virtual 3-day workshop for participants from across VHA who are interested in learning the fundamentals of Patient Experience.

High Reliability Organization (HRO) Theme of the Month

This month's HRO theme, Commitment to Zero Harm, empowers staff to focus on safety and reliability to reduce errors that can lead to patient harm because one patient harmed is one too many. Customer Experience is a part of VA's Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)

VA is committed to providing the best customer experience and improving trust. As a reminder, Customer Experience was added to VA's Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). You can read the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Title 38, Chapter 1, Part 0, Section 0.603, Subpart A, which describes VA Core Values, Characteristics, and Customer Experience principles.
