On February 3, 2025, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Education Service began processing some non-Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits in Benefits Manager. Beneficiaries who have a claim processed in the Benefits Manager system will now be able to verify their enrollment via text or email, in addition to other existing options, including online through AskVA.

This resource was created to help you answer potential questions from students about which enrollment verification methods are available to them. Whenever there is any doubt in how the student should verify, please advise the student to submit their verification through AskVA.
As a reminder, students processed in Benefits Manager must verify their enrollment every month to receive monthly benefit payments or kicker payments.
