System modernization continues: Starting April 26

Dear School Certifying Official,

Starting on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 3 p.m. ET, the Department of Veterans Affairs payment system will undergo modernization upgrades to facilitate the integration of Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) payments processing from the Benefits Delivery Network (BDN) to the Enterprise Management of Payments, Workload, and Reporting (eMPWR) system. These system upgrades will continue through May 5, 2024.

You can continue to conduct daily work as usual in Enrollment Manager. Enrollment Manager back-end processing of all Chapter 33 claims will be delayed until maintenance is complete. While this means that you may experience some delays with the Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit status field updating and with automated processing, you should continue to conduct your daily work as usual within the Enrollment Manager system.
