Dear School Certifying Official,
As you continue to familiarize yourself with Enrollment Manager (EM), be sure to check out Version 2 of the EM School Certifying Official (SCO) User Guide on the Veterans Affairs (VA) Resources for Schools webpage. This updated resource incorporates system updates and provides SCOs information and tutorials on utilizing system functionality. The EM User Guide Version 2 offers users more up to date system information using a more navigable template, empowering SCOs to better support GI Bill® beneficiaries.
On August 19, the VA successfully deployed Release 5.3.1. introducing additional enhancements and updates across the following:
Enrollment Manager
- SCOs can add enrollment for inactive students who were once associated with their facility without manually adding them to a new program.
- The facility dropdown is now pre-populated with school the SCO is associated with when adding multiple enrollments.
- DGI system no longer overwrites enrollment periods when the same preset enrollment is used to enroll a student at both a main and extension/branch campus.
- Read-only users of Enrollment Manager are no longer able to enter or edit student data.
- SCO names and email addresses now appear on the TIMS documents of enrollment processed by the CH33 supplemental claim workflow.
- Improvements to information displays when printing enrollment forms including increased font size and correct display of school's physical address.
- SCOs can now filter their students based on a date range and school facility name.
Other Key Highlights
- CH33 now displays the latest Transfer of Entitlement data when submitting an application via MEB.
- User Access Manager now allows SCOs to use the SCO Access Manager to add/remove facility codes and to view/approve/revoke other SCOs, Assistants, and Read-Only users for their schools.
- Four new VBA remarks have been added to Enrollment Manager:
- Second Certification for Attendance Verification
- Change to Tuition & Fees
