Verify your monthly enrollment online
Post-9/11 GI Bill students: Have you tried the new online enrollment verification feature? Online verification is now available as the main way to verify enrollment, or it can be used if the verification link you received through email or text expired. An enhanced Transfer of Entitlement (TOE) application experience
Thinking about transferring some of your GI Bill benefits to a loved one? Thanks to Digital GI Bill modernization efforts, the Post-9/11 GI Bill application process is simpler than ever for families using a Transfer of Entitlement (TOE). Dependent family members who log in through their account verified through ID.me or Login.gov may now experience a more intuitive and user-friendly application process on VA.gov that includes:
- Pre-filled personal and sponsor information
- Direct deposit information (if applicable)
- A streamlined application with less questions
The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) process remains the same and TOE applicants will need to have their transferred benefits approved before applying on VA.gov. Learn more about the DoD transferring process on milConnect.

Can you use the GI Bill for work study or experiential learning?
Use your GI Bill benefits for a work-study position if you’re enrolled at least three-quarter time in a college degree, vocational, or professional program, have found an open job either at a nearby VA facility or in a VA-related role at your school, and can finish the work-study contract while you still qualify for education benefits. Every student must have a written contract and changes to their position or location must be approved by the VA work-study coordinator.
You can also use your VA benefits for an independent study course like accredited independent study programs at career and technical education schools. But these programs must be offered at an accredited public or nonprofit site.

VA Caregiver Support Program
The VA Caregiver Support Program (CSP) is hosting Caregiver and Family Resource Fairs across the country to honor its commitment to reach every caregiver of a Veteran in need of support.
