Employee of the Quarter: John Hartman, RQRS
During the 1st Quarter, Mr. Hartman has maintained exceptional level production and quality. Mr. Hartman consistently volunteers and goes above and beyond to assist the QRT Team as well as the station in improving quality. During this quarter he has been instrumental in the stations Automated Benefits Delivery (ABD) pilot by attending National trainings, conducting station training, and performing ABD deferral in process reviews (IPRs) for a special project. Mr. Hartman has also assisted in the PACT Act - Terminal early processing second signature reviews. Mr. Hartman, based on those reviews, saw a need, and created a guide on how to generate the appropriate texts in VBMS-R for all RVSRs processing the PACT Act - Terminal early processing claims. This guide will be instrumental in helping RVSRs process all PACT Act claims over the months to come. Mr. Hartman also has been a mentor to RVSR trainees, providing valuable training, mentoring and case review/feedback for RVSR trainees. He was spoken of very highly by all RVSR trainees in their new employee feedback survey's. He has been the QRT SME for all PACT Act and ABD claims related issues and trainings. Mr. Hartman has accomplished this all while continuing to perform his regular QRT duties, excelling in his production and maintaining 100% quality. Mr. Hartman is an invaluable asset to the QRT Team and the Veterans Service Center. He is a team player and always willing to step up and volunteer while maintaining an outstanding work ethic and successfully completing all assigned tasks, regardless of difficulty. His knowledge, professionalism, compassion, and desire to help Veterans and co-workers is inspirational.

Special Contribution Award: Cynthia McJunkin, VSCM
Cynthia McJunkin is awarded a special contribution award for being a leader of change. As 1 of 3 pilot sites selected for Automated Benefits Delivery, she has overseen the implementation of employee training, workload management, capacity review, and communication about the tool, job aids, enhancements, and reminders to employees. She coordinated a successful site visit with the Office of Production Optimization (OPO) where 8 action items, 3 best practices and opportunities for training, process improvements, and enhancements were taken back by OPO for review. She continues to implement local training, obtain employee feedback, and push up questions and concerns to VBACO. Her desire to improve the claims process through the use of Automated Decision Support while supporting her employees with the change is an asset to the Pittsburgh RO.

Special Contribution Award: Eileen Rosleck, HR Liaison
Eileen Rosleck is awarded a special contribution award for bringing immediate benefit to the HR team. She dove in and put together EAP information for the employees on HR SharePoint and held a lunch and learn where she received positive feedback from the Union President. She took on the task of learning the administrative function of SharePoint and obtained compiled information and created a flyer for retirement benefits and has scheduled a lunch and learn for employees in February. She completed the first analysis without any training or guidance on the new OCHCO Employee Experience surveys and went above and beyond by presenting the results with a PowerPoint to the leadership team. Her positive attitude and eagerness is an asset to the Pittsburgh RO.

- After reading a brochure regarding MST, I contacted Mrs. Albright and she helped me file for a claim. I was very uncomfortable sharing my difficult experience, but she was a big help and assured me that I was doing the right thing in reporting this traumatic event. Pittsburgh Warriors Compete in 1st Annual Defenders Cup: Saturday, March 11th
 The Pittsburgh Warriors Hockey team will be taking on the USA Warriors at the Hunt Armory in Shadyside on Saturday, March 11th at 5pm. Pittsburgh Warriors Hockey is a 501(c)(3) organization of honorably discharged service members with a service-connected disability united around hockey and dedicated to providing a cathartic experience, promoting physical and mental health. Come out and support the Pittsburgh Warriors, including our own Nick Boyko, Evan Wawrykow, and Jesse Robson!! Warrior teams from DC, Virginia, and New York will be in town to compete. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. There will also be a basket raffle, concessions, and merchandise available for purchase.
