VA’s Loan Review Application Programming Interface Update

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Loan Guaranty Service (LGY) has published the Loan Review Application Programming Interface (API) into production. This follows an earlier announcement on December 16, 2022, that the same API was published in a testing environment. Loan Origination System (LOS) providers and lenders can begin integrating with this new capability, which will enable lenders to upload the loan application and closing disclosure for loans being called for audit without leaving their LOS. Currently, 276 lenders are participating.

All questions regarding the Loan Review API, or related technical support, should be submitted by creating a ticket on our Technology Knowledge Center website (https://www.benefits.va.gov/HOMELOANS/technology-knowledge-center.asp). Stay tuned to the Technology Knowledge Center for additional announcements, videos and specifications regarding the LOT initiative and modernization.
