As part of the Digital GI Bill® (DGIB) effort, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is transforming the GI Bill experience for students and all those who support them.
In 2023, we will launch Enrollment Manager (EM), a modernized platform for School Certifying Officials (SCOs) to submit GI Bill student enrollments and communicate with VA. Although core functionality will remain the same as the old system, SCOs will benefit from an enhanced user experience, improved work processes, and other changes, based on their feedback.
As a former school administrator, I understand how big of a role each and every member of the school administration and staff plays in supporting students. Before rolling out a new system, I want to make sure you, as school leaders, are informed, and that your SCOs are trained and knowledgeable to support GI Bill beneficiaries. VA recommends one full-time SCO for every 200 GI Bill beneficiaries enrolled in an educational institution.
To help SCOs get the information they need to assist with the transition to the new system, we have developed a comprehensive plan for online trainings and an in-person workshop, along with additional resources.
Encourage Your Staff to Register for the SCO Enrollment Manager Workshop
We are hosting an in-person SCO EM Workshop on Tuesday, November 15, in Washington, DC, where SCOs will be able to interact with the new system before it goes live. The event will also be live-streamed. Encourage your staff to register today for the workshop!
Thank you for your hard work and attention in ensuring your school is ready for the transition. We will continue to be in touch on this impactful rollout.
