1ST ANNUAL WOMEN VETERANS SMALL BUSINESS SUMMIT
"Women Mean Business"
Wednesday, March 31, 2021, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. EDT
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hosts the Women Veterans Small Business Summit in collaboration with federal agencies and commercial partners. It is a collaboration between the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization and the US Women's Chamber of Commerce. The US Women's Chamber of Commerce will host the conference on their conference platform. It consists of a full day of sessions focused on Women Veteran entrepreneurs who want to know more about what VA and others are doing to increase their economic opportunities. It highlights VA and prime vendor activities that include presentations, panels, roundtables, and open networking.
This first-ever event boasts a robust agenda that includes:
- Access to knowledge on how to do business with the Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal agencies
- Increased focus on making sure Women Veteran-Owned Small Business federal contractors secure their fair share of federal contracting (taxpayer) dollars
- Access to federal agencies and prime contractors
- Timely education and information on current trends, opportunities, and threats to small business contractors
- Connections to potential teaming and joint venture partners
These business relationships will be fostered through open networking sessions and roundtables.
