COMMEMORATING THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CENTER FOR WOMEN VETERANS

Lourdes Tiglao highlights how the Center for Women Veterans honors women all year.

Center for Women Veterans

Every March, VA observes Women’s History Month, and this year, the Center for Women Veterans will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. To commemorate, we are partnering with organizations to host events throughout the year that will celebrate the unsung heroes among us, as well as the women who continue to forge paths. HONORING MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

On Jan. 15, we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—preacher, activist, and visionary. In a sermon shortly before his assassination, Dr. King told the congregation that after his death “I'd like somebody to mention that day that Martin Luther King, Jr. tried to give his life serving others." Let us remember Dr. King, walk in his footsteps, and honor his memory as we serve Veterans.
