You are invited to join the I*DEA Interagency Speaker Series. The goal of this series is to shift VA’s cultural health in collaboration with federal partners in the I*DEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access) space. It is also an opportunity for the Department of Veterans Affairs to maximize the learning experience of peer agencies’ implementing policies, practices, and culture of Executive Orders related to 13985, 14035 and other subsequent executive actions.
The first event of the series will be tomorrow, November 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. EST in the G.V. Sonny Montgomery Conference Room, 810 Vermont Ave, Room 230 with Guest speaker Robert Cabana, NASA Astronaut and United States Marine Corps (USMC) Veteran.
Mr. Cabana is a former NASA astronaut who is serving currently as its Associate Administrator. He is a Vietnam-era USMC aviator who is a Veteran of four spaceflights, including the first assembly mission of the International Space Station in December of 1998. We are delighted Mr. Cabana will speak about his experiences in space and how the view from the heavens reminds us of the ideals and goals of I*DEA.
