Farewell and thank you for serving our Veterans and their Families!

Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs Randy Reeves

An Appreciation

As I prepare to depart this office, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for the support you have given to Veterans and their families during their time of greatest need.

Leading the National Cemetery Administration has been the greatest privilege given to me during a career that spanned 40 years of service in the military, state and federal government. I truly believe that NCA is the finest organization in the federal government, and I am immensely proud of all that my team has accomplished during my three years as Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs. But I know that what we accomplished would have been impossible without the partnerships we've built with you - the people who advocate for our Veterans, and the people who take care of Veterans and their families as their lives come to an end.

This past year in particular, as we adapted cemetery operations in order to limit the spread of this deadly virus, the need for compassion, sensitivity, and clear communication was never more evident. I am grateful for everything you did to help us keep our cemeteries open and operating safely. We couldn't have done it without you.

Thank you again for all that you do for our Veterans. I wish the best for you and your families.

Sincerely, I am
