The Warriors to Workforce (W2W) Program is expanding and accepting resumes for its cohorts that begin in September 2019.
 The program is intended for returning Veterans with a service-connected disability and little to no post-high school education.
Veterans are hired as GS-5 federal employees. We hire, transition and train Veterans for a career in federal contracting. The W2W Program is a little less than one year long and focuses on academics, professional development, peak performance training, transition support, mentoring and other foundational career training.
The college business courses are taught onsite at the VA Acquisition Academy by an accredited academic institution in order for the Veterans to obtain the necessary business credits to meet the positive education requirements for the contract specialist career field.
The W2W Program is located in Frederick, MD. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have little to no post-high school education. Participants must:
- have the flexibility to move to Frederick for the first year of training;
- be willing to move for final placement to a VA contracting organization within the U.S; and,
-
sign a continued service agreement to work for VA for three years after completing the training.
We are currently recruiting for our next cohort which will begin in September 2019. More information and FAQs can be found on our website. If you have other questions, please email us at vaaaw2w@va.gov.
