VA National Cemeteries to Mark 24th Anniversary of 9/11
VA national cemeteries will host a Day of Service and Remembrance Sept. 11 to honor victims of the 9/11 attacks. Events will take place at more than 60 national cemeteries across the country and include opportunities for volunteers to clean headstones and participate in other beautification activities.

In 1918, the government created the first nationwide system of vocational training for disabled Veterans. VA's vocational training for disabled Veterans has evolved from apprenticeships to the Veterans Rehabilitation and Employment program, reflecting its ongoing commitment to helping Veterans achieve independence and employment.
