During Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Yoshito Fujimoto, a World War II translator. Yoshito Fujimoto was born in April 1918 in Del Ray, California. At eight months old, he relocated to Japan following his mother’s death. [From VAntage Point]

During Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Navy Veteran Chaiyant Chanchang, who served in Afghanistan. The son of Thai immigrants, Chaiyant Chanchang was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and enlisted in the Navy in 1997. After going to basic training at Naval Station Great Lakes, Chanchang received his ground crew certification in Pensacola, Florida, to work on F-14s. [From VAntage Point]
