VA chaplains understand the value of personal connections. They're trained to provide counsel and comfort to Veteran patients in challenging and distressing times, to seek out new ways to facilitate those connections. Now, they're leveraging video calling or conferencing applications on phones, tablets, and laptops to connect CLC and other patients with their loved ones who are unable to visit.

Army Veteran Luke Wade thrives on "fun, freedom, and community"; in fact, that's the motto of KC Crew, the adult sports and events company he founded after leaving service. Wade wanted to create a community for sports- and events-loving folks to stay active and connected, and his work helped revitalize Kansas City.
And current social distancing didn't stop him. He quickly adjusted to offer the community needed social experiences through events such as virtual bingo and virtual trivia games. Now more than ever, keeping connected is vitally important.
