Veterans Curation Program trains and hires Veterans
The Veterans Curation Program is a paid training initiative offering Veterans education about archaeological processing, professional growth and development assistance, including time and instruction for resume building and job searches.

HIRE Vets Medallion Award application now open
The 2020 HIRE Vets Medallion Award application is now open to employers until April 30, 2020. The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is a Labor Department recognition for employers that commit to hiring and retaining Veterans into meaningful, family-sustaining careers.

VA ranks sixth in new best place to work report
For the second year in a row, VA ranks sixth among the 17 largest federal agencies considered the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government. The annual Partnership for Public Service report measures employee satisfaction and helps agencies work to improve it.

VA proposes regulations to expand caregiver program
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will publish a proposed rule in the Federal Register March 6 that would improve and standardize VA’s Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) and ensure the program regulations reflect changes required by the VA MISSION Act of 2018.

VA will release new capabilities this summer providing Veterans who receive care at VA with the ability to access their personal medical data using the Health Records on iPhone feature from Apple for iPhone.
The app also brings together hospitals and clinics outside VA, allowing Veterans to see their available medical data from multiple providers, including VA, whenever they choose.

Schools and student councils across the country competed in the annual End Veteran Homelessness Challenge. The Challenge raises money and collects household essential items for Veterans.
VA and its partners congratulate Kaʻōhao School in Hawaii for winning the challenge.

VA facilities across the country offer same-day primary care and mental health services, and many offer additional services as well. With the new community urgent care benefit, eligible Veterans can also visit a local walk-in retail health clinic or urgent care center that is part of VA’s contracted network. Urgent care providers treat non-emergent symptoms or conditions such as ear infections, minor burns, and mild skin infections.

VA and RallyPoint teamed up for a #VetResources Facebook Live last week to discuss how each creates online communities for Veterans.
They shared detailed information about where to find online resources, and how Veterans can connect online with former battle buddies, discuss issues that they have in common, and learn about resources that can help.
