This year marks the 38th anniversary for the National Veterans
Wheelchair Games. The Games are held each year to serve Veterans with
spinal cord injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, amputations and other
neurological impairments, with the goal of increasing their
independence, healthy activity and to improve their quality of life.
Brett Favre, a pro football Hall of Fame quarterback, told a crowd at the 38th National
Veterans Wheelchair Games that nothing he’s experienced can compare to
the adversity faced by the 657 on hand for this year’s event.
