                      Veterans Identification Card

We’re excited about the response that we have received to the Veterans Identification Card (VIC) program. We continue to process requests in the order that we receive them.  If your request is approved, you can use your digital ID card to obtain discounted goods and services offered to Veterans. Printing and mailing for approved ID cards will begin in April.

What’s New with VIC?

We have recently implemented another way to access VIC. If you previously experienced issues submitting a VIC request, you can use AccessVA to submit your application.

Before You Start

Make sure you have a valid copy of your state or federal issued ID, an image to appear on your card, and a copy of your DD-214 or other official military discharge document that reflects an Honorable or General character of discharge.

Follow the instructions below to submit your VIC requests using Access VA.

  1. Sign into your account using AccessVA.
  2. Select the VIC icon.
  3. Select Sign in with DS Logon to access the VIC Application. To use DS Logon credentials to access VIC, a Level of Assurance 2 (LOA2) is required.
  4. Once you have successfully logged in, you can proceed with your VIC request.
