Transitioning from military to civilian life can be a challenging process. Vet Centers can help.
More than 300 Vet Centers across the country provide eligible Veterans, active duty service members and their families counseling, outreach and referral services.
“They’re small, they’re community based. Most of the counselors have also served in a combat zone,” says Candace, an Army Veteran. “When you call, you talk to a live person. You can get in right away. It’s help with no hassle.”
Eligible individuals can visit a Vet Center location or access Vet Center services through Mobile Vet Centers for those living in rural areas. Individuals do not have to be enrolled in VA health care or benefits prior to receiving services. Services can also be provided to Veterans with any type of problematic discharge.
